The 'Googles' work from home ad reads like a scam. What honest business would misspell 'sign up' as 'sing up'? You guys lose a lot of credibility allowing this kind of junk to pass through your website.

Ah Timothy, your facetiousness is only outweighed by your sarcasm! However, if memory serves me correctly (Denny Crane!), Dallas did make a run at Javon Walker before Big Al dug up more tomato cans of money buried in his back yard.

I am intrigued by what Austin Miles can bring to the table, if he remains healthy for a full year. He does have some speed and was beginning to show some promise prior to his injury. Hurd and Crayton are solid possession receivers and Williams needs to come through -- do I really sound like Cousin Jerruh?

I would like to pick up a small, quick receiver in the later rounds.

Heya Long,

I could solve your WR problem. How about a trade - perhaps we send Javon Walker your way for, lets see, what would be fair...how about a free ticket to a cowboys game this year? Or maybe a cowboys T.O jersey.

I kid, I hope for a lot from Walker this year, but I figured hey, J.Jones might want to know what the market looks like.

Take care buddy,

I'm pickin' up what you're puttin' down, but if The William Wall is suspended for 4 games... I feel like Freddy is a good backup, but Guion is a little weak and this draft would be a good chance to pick up a legit backup run stuffer...

To be honest, I didn't see Brace play (or Raji) as there weren't many BC games televised in my neck of the woods, but I've read some good things about him. I get concerned though when I see that attitude and intensity are negatives for a DT.

I think that ultimately, if the Vikings are going to go with a DT, it'll be early on, like first round if Peria Jerry falls and they feel he's worth taking there. I know that Pat is getting older, but he's still a force and we have Letroy Guion and Fred Evans still developing. I think that for this year, they'll probably hold off on DT unless there's a steal and maybe target someone early next year to replace Big Pat in 2011. Is that looking too far ahead???

Let's hope so, if I have to watch Ryan Cook take one more false start; I will personally call Todd Steussie myself and tell him someone is stealing his material. haha.

What are your thoughts on Ron Brace. He was BJ Raji's teammate. I'm curious if Brace made Raji better because Brace ate all the blockers. He is HUGE. He could be a possible replacement for Big Pat... That's who I am rooting for anyway.

Jason,

Thanks for the comments... haha, I didn't mean to disappoint you with that post... but I would like to mention that I have definitely not forgotten those needs for the Vikes.

If you'll take a look at the team needs I've put in for Minnesota here (http://www.drafttek.com/teamneeds2009.html) you'll see the three biggest needs I've identified are OT, which I gave a P2 priority and OC and CB that were both assigned a P3 priority. I didn't mention them in that last post as I didn't want to be too long winded, but at some point over the next week or so, I will go into a bit more detail on the priorities and what direction I feel the Vikings will look early on in the draft. Smith, Jerry and Britton are definitely first round possibilities at this stage of the game and I probably should have mentioned those positions though if even briefly.

One way or another, I would virtually guarantee that Childress will address RT prior to May 1.

No mention of CB, OT, or DT in your draft speculation? Last year the Vikes took Safety Tyrell Johnson with their first pick (2nd rounder). He was picked as Sharper's obvious replacement. So, I would not be surprised to see the Vikes go after a CB or DT in the 1st or 2nd rounds. Also, no mention of an OT...? That is there most glaring need. I agree that Nicks would be a good pick and that Unger would be a good center. Actually I think he is better than Mack, but to not mention OT, CB, and DT... it left me a little disappointed. CB Alphonso Smith, DT Peria Jerry, and OT Ebbon Britton are just as likely as Nicks or Unger.
